Son of Alan Wake!

This game perfectly mixes psychological horror (lack of light everywhere, where your flashlight and other random sources of light are the only way to weaken enemies so you can kill them) and action/shooter mechanics.

It's also well written too. The manuscript pages you find foretelling events yet to occur are fantastic.

Alan Wake is a greeeat game, and that's saying a lot from someone who ordinarily doesn't do shootery games.
